अहंकारः स विज्ञेयः कर्ता भोक्ताभिमान्ययम् ।
सत्त्वादिगुणयोगेन चावस्थात्रयमश्नुते ॥ १0४ ॥

ahaṃkāraḥ sa vijñeyaḥ kartā bhoktābhimānyayam |
sattvādiguṇayogena cāvasthātrayamaśnute || 104 ||

104. Know that it is Egoism which, identifying itself with the body, becomes the doer or experiencer, and in conjunction with the Guṇas such as the Sattva, assumes the three different states.
