Verse 3.14.171
Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.14.171:
संस्त्यानेन क्वचिद् द्रव्यं दृष्टं यदुपलक्षितम् ।
अनङ्गीकृतसंस्त्यानात् तद्वृत्तेः प्रत्ययो भवेत् ॥ १७१ ॥saṃstyānena kvacid dravyaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ yadupalakṣitam |
anaṅgīkṛtasaṃstyānāt tadvṛtteḥ pratyayo bhavet || 171 ||171. The suffix would then come after a stem of which femininity is not accepted as the expressed meaning but which is in apposition to a word of which femininity is an extraneous meaning.
Commentary
[The result would be that the suffix would be added to a stem which is in apposition to a word where femininity is upalakṣaṇa and bahiraṅga.]
