Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 2.369:
क्वचिद्विषयभेदेन कृत्रिमा व्यवतिष्ठते ।
संख्यायामेकविषयं व्यवस्थानं द्वायोरपि ॥ ३६९ ॥kvacidviṣayabhedena kṛtrimā vyavatiṣṭhate |
saṃkhyāyāmekaviṣayaṃ vyavasthānaṃ dvāyorapi || 369 ||369. Sometimes, a technical name is applied differently in different contexts. In the case of the name Saṃkhyā, both the technical and non-technical meanings may be applicable in the same text.
Commentary
It is now shown that there are four possibilities in the matter of names in the śāstra.
