The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.5.12; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा पद्यावल्याम् (१७२) —
गुरु-जन-गञ्जनम् अयशो
गृह-पति-चरितं च दारुणं किम् अपि ।
विस्मारयति समस्तं

शिव शिव मुरली मुरारातेः ॥३.५.१२॥

yathā padyāvalyām (172) —
guru-jana-gañjanam ayaśo
gṛha-pati-caritaṃ ca dāruṇaṃ kim api |
vismārayati samastaṃ


śiva śiva muralī murārāteḥ ||3.5.12||

English translation

From Padyāvalī [172]:
“How astonishing! The sound of Kṛṣṇa flute makes the gopīs forget the scolding of their elders, the infamy from breaking social rules, and the terrifying treatment from their husbands.”
