The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.68; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. श्री-दशमे (१०.८५.३८) —
स इन्द्रसेनो भगवत्-पदानुजं
बिभ्रन् मुहुः प्रेम-विभिन्नया धिया ।
उवाच हानन्द-जलाकुलेक्षणः
प्रहृष्ट-रोमा नृप गद्गदाक्षरम् ॥३.२.६८॥śrī-daśame (10.85.38) —
sa indraseno bhagavat-padānujaṃ
bibhran muhuḥ prema-vibhinnayā dhiyā |
uvāca hānanda-jalākulekṣaṇaḥ
prahṛṣṭa-romā nṛpa gadgadākṣaram ||3.2.68||
English translation
From the Tenth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam [10.85.38]:
“Taking hold of the Lord’s lotus feet again and again, Bali, the conqueror of Indra's army, spoke from his heart, which was melting out of his intense love. O King, as tears of ecstasy filled his eyes and the hair on his limbs stood on end, he began to speak with faltering words.”
