The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.157; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

दुरुक्तितो, यथा सहदेवोक्तिः —
प्रभवति विबुधानाम् अग्रिमस्याग्र-पूजां
न हि दनुज-रिपोर् यः प्रौङ्ध-कीर्तेर् विसोढुम् ।
कटुतर-यम-दण्डोद्दण्ड-रोचिर् मयासौ
शिरसि पृथुनि तस्य न्यस्यते सव्य-पादः ॥२.४.१५७॥

duruktito, yathā sahadevoktiḥ —
prabhavati vibudhānām agrimasyāgra-pūjāṃ
na hi danuja-ripor yaḥ prauṅdha-kīrter visoḍhum |
kaṭutara-yama-daṇḍoddaṇḍa-rocir mayāsau
śirasi pṛthuni tasya nyasyate savya-pādaḥ
||2.4.157||

English translation

Augrya arising from harsh words against Kṛṣṇa, in a statement by Sahadeva: “I will place my left foot with more force than Yama’s punishment on the head of that person who cannot tolerate the first worship of Kṛṣṇa—who is full of all glories and worshiped by all devatās.”
