गात्रोत्कम्पी मनः-कम्पः सहसा त्रास उच्यते ।
पूर्वापर-विचारोत्थं भयं त्रासात् पृथग् भवेत् ॥२.४.५८॥gātrotkampī manaḥ-kampaḥ sahasā trāsa ucyate |
pūrvāpara-vicārotthaṃ bhayaṃ trāsāt pṛthag bhavet ||2.4.58||
English translation
“Disturbance of the heart that suddenly produces shaking of the limbs is called trāsa. This is different from fear. Fear arises after deliberating on previous and subsequent events.”
