The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.65; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र नेत्राम्बु-वैस्वर्य-वर्जानाम् एव युज्यते ।
बह्व्-अङ्ग-व्यापितामीषां तयोः कापि विशिष्टता ॥२.३.६५॥

tatra netrāmbu-vaisvarya-varjānām eva yujyate |
bahv-aṅga-vyāpitāmīṣāṃ tayoḥ kāpi viśiṣṭatā ||2.3.65||

English translation

“Except for tears and choking of the voice, the other sāttvika-bhāvas can spread through many parts of the body. Tears and choking of the voice have some special features.”
