The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.352; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

भूयिष्ठम् —
खण्डिताखण्डितं भूरि नट-वेश-क्रियोचितम् ।
अनेक-वर्णं वसनं भूयिष्ठं कथितं बुधैः ॥२.१.३५२॥

bhūyiṣṭham —
khaṇḍitākhaṇḍitaṃ bhūri naṭa-veśa-kriyocitam |
aneka-varṇaṃ vasanaṃ bhūyiṣṭhaṃ kathitaṃ budhaiḥ
||2.1.352||

English translation

“The wise say that the multi-piece outfit consists of many pieces of cloth, cut and uncut, of many colors, suitable for performing artists.”
