The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.334; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

नेतुः स्वरूपम् एवोक्तं कैशोरम् इह यद्यपि ।
नानाकृति-प्रकटनात् तथाप्य् उद्दीपनं मतम् ॥२.१.३३४॥

netuḥ svarūpam evoktaṃ kaiśoram iha yadyapi |
nānākṛti-prakaṭanāt tathāpy uddīpanaṃ matam
||2.1.334||

English translation

“Even though the age of youth is said to be the svarūpa of the protagonist (ālambana), it is also considered to be the stimulus (uddīpana) because of appearing as one among many forms of age.”
