The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.234; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
विनय-मधुर-मूर्तिर् मन्थर-स्निग्ध-तारो
वचन-पटिम-भङ्गी-सूचिताशेष-नीतिः ।
अभिदधद् इह धर्मं धर्म-पुत्रोपकण्ठे
द्विज-पतिर् इव साक्षात् प्रेक्ष्यते कंस-वैरी ॥२.१.२३४॥

yathā —
vinaya-madhura-mūrtir manthara-snigdha-tāro
vacana-paṭima-bhaṅgī-sūcitāśeṣa-nītiḥ |
abhidadhad iha dharmaṃ dharma-putropakaṇṭhe
dvija-patir iva sākṣāt prekṣyate kaṃsa-vairī
||2.1.234||

English translation

“Speaking about dharma before Yudhiṣṭhira, Kṛṣṇa appears like the best of brāhmaṇas, pleasant with modesty. His eyes are moving steadily and are filled with love. He shows unlimited good qualities through His skillful speech.”
