The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.139; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
भृत्यस्य पश्यति गुरून् अपि नापराधान्
सेवां मनाग् अपि कृतां बहुधाभ्युपैति ।
आविष्करोति पिशुनेष्व् अपि नाभ्यसूयां
शीलेन निर्मल-मतिः पुरुषोत्तमो’यम् ॥२.१.१३८॥yathā —
bhṛtyasya paśyati gurūn api nāparādhān
sevāṃ manāg api kṛtāṃ bahudhābhyupaiti |
āviṣkaroti piśuneṣv api nābhyasūyāṃ
śīlena nirmala-matiḥ puruṣottamo’yam ||2.1.138||

“थे सुपेर्मे लोर्द्, wहो इस् पुरे-हेअर्तेद् ब्य् हिस् वेर्य् नतुरे, दोएस् नोत् सेए थे सेरिओउस् ओffएन्सेस् ओf हिस् सेर्वन्त्, बुत् हे अच्चेप्त्स् एवेन् अ लित्त्ले सेर्विचे अस् अ ग्रेअत् थिन्ग्. हे दोएस् नोत् fइन्द् fऔल्त्, एवेन् इन् थोसे ओf लोw छरच्तेर्.”
(३५) विनयी —
औद्धत्य-परिहारी यः कथ्यते विनयीत्य् असौ ॥२.१.१३९॥“The Superme Lord, who is pure-hearted by His very nature, does not see the serious offenses of His servant, but He accepts even a little service as a great thing. He does not find fault, even in those of low character.”

auddhatya-parihārī yaḥ kathyate vinayīty asau ||2.1.139||
English translation
(35) vinayī: modest —
“The person who is devoid of arrogance is called modest.”
