The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.15; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तद् उक्तम् अग्नि-पुराणे —
विभाव्यते हि रत्य्-आदिर् यत्र येन विभाव्यते ।
विभावो नाम स द्वेधालम्बनोद्दीपनात्मकः ॥२.१.१५॥

tad uktam agni-purāṇe —
vibhāvyate hi raty-ādir yatra yena vibhāvyate |
vibhāvo nāma sa dvedhālambanoddīpanātmakaḥ
||2.1.15||

English translation

This is mentioned in the Agni Purāṇa [Alaṅkāra section, 3.35]:

Vibhāva refers to the two kinds of ālambana—the person in relation to whom the rati and other elements are experienced (viṣaya), the person in whom the rati and other elements are experienced (āśraya)—and to uddīpana, the stimuli by which rati is experienced.”
