आश्रयैक्ये विरुद्धो यः स कार्यो भिन्न-संश्रयः ॥ ७.६४ab ॥

āśrayaikye viruddho yaḥ sa kāryo bhinna-saṃśrayaḥ || 7.64ab ||

The contradictory rasa which is in the same āśraya should be made in a separate āśraya.

vīra-bhayānakayor ekāśrayatvena virodhād bhayānakaḥ prati-pakṣa-gatatvena varṇanīyaḥ.

Since vīra-rasa and bhayānaka-rasa are contradictory when they are in the same person, the bhayānaka-rasa should be described in terms of being in another person.
