उद्दाम-युक्ति-कुद्दालैर् अक्षिणोत् क्षणतोऽपि यः ।
विवर्तं गर्तम् ईशानस् तं जीवं गुरुम् आश्रये ॥

uddāma-yukti-kuddālair akṣiṇot kṣaṇato'pi yaḥ |
vivartaṃ gartam īśānas taṃ jīvaṃ gurum āśraye ||

uddāma—mighty; yukti—in the form of a logical reasoning; kuddālaiḥ—with the hoes; akṣiṇot—destroyed; kṣaṇataḥ—in a moment; api—even; yaḥ—who; vivartam—named Vivarta; gartam—the hole; īśānaḥ—the master; jīvam—named Jīva; gurum—the spiritual master; āśraye—I resort to.

I take shelter of Jīva Gosvāmī, a guru. He is the master who, with the hoe in the form of a mighty logical reasoning, instantly ended the hole called Vivarta-vāda.

atra tu guru-viṣayasya bhāvasya notkarṣakā na cāpakarṣakāḥ. citre ca yathodāhariṣyate.

Here the sounds of ojas neither enhance nor decrease the affection for a guru (guru-viṣayā rati). Examples in citra-kāvya will be exemplified (9.37-44).
