Rig Veda 10.90.16

य॒ज्ञेन॑ य॒ज्ञम॑यजन्त दे॒वास्तानि॒ धर्मा॑णि प्रथ॒मान्या॑सन् । ते ह॒ नाकं॑ महि॒मान॑: सचन्त॒ यत्र॒ पूर्वे॑ सा॒ध्याः सन्ति॑ दे॒वाः ॥
यज्ञेन यज्ञमयजन्त देवास्तानि धर्माणि प्रथमान्यासन् । ते ह नाकं महिमानः सचन्त यत्र पूर्वे साध्याः सन्ति देवाः ॥
yajñena yajñam ayajanta devās tāni dharmāṇi prathamāny āsan | te ha nākam mahimānaḥ sacanta yatra pūrve sādhyāḥ santi devāḥ ||

English translation:

“By sacrifice the gods worshipped (him who is also) the sacrifice; those were the first duties. Thosegreat ones became partakers of the heaven where the ancient deities the Sādhyas abide. 10.091.01 Damūnas, being glorified by his diligent (worshippers), desiring food upon the footmark of Iḷā, iskindled in the chamber (of sacrifice), the offerer of every oblation, the object of veneration, the lord, theresplendent, to him who desires his friendship.”
