Rig Veda 9.9.3
Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:
स सू॒नुर्मा॒तरा॒ शुचि॑र्जा॒तो जा॒ते अ॑रोचयत् । म॒हान्म॒ही ऋ॑ता॒वृधा॑ ॥
स सूनुर्मातरा शुचिर्जातो जाते अरोचयत् । महान्मही ऋतावृधा ॥
sa sūnur mātarā śucir jāto jāte arocayat | mahān mahī ṛtāvṛdhā ||
English translation:
“That mighty and pure son, when born, illumines his mighty parents (heaven and earth), the progenitors (of all things), the augmenters of the sacrifice.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
