Rig Veda 8.74.13
Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:
अ॒हं हु॑वा॒न आ॒र्क्षे श्रु॒तर्व॑णि मद॒च्युति॑ । शर्धां॑सीव स्तुका॒विनां॑ मृ॒क्षा शी॒र्षा च॑तु॒र्णाम् ॥
अहं हुवान आर्क्षे श्रुतर्वणि मदच्युति । शर्धांसीव स्तुकाविनां मृक्षा शीर्षा चतुर्णाम् ॥
ahaṃ huvāna ārkṣe śrutarvaṇi madacyuti | śardhāṃsīva stukāvinām mṛkṣā śīrṣā caturṇām ||
English translation:
“Summoned before Śrutarvān, the son of Ṛkṣa, the humbler of the pride of his enemies, (I stroke) withmy hand the heads of the four horses (which he has given me), as (men stroke) the long wool of rams.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
