यो वर्ध॑न॒ ओष॑धीनां॒ यो अ॒पां यो विश्व॑स्य॒ जग॑तो दे॒व ईशे॑ । स त्रि॒धातु॑ शर॒णं शर्म॑ यंसत्त्रि॒वर्तु॒ ज्योति॑: स्वभि॒ष्ट्य१॒॑स्मे ॥
यो वर्धन ओषधीनां यो अपां यो विश्वस्य जगतो देव ईशे । स त्रिधातु शरणं शर्म यंसत्त्रिवर्तु ज्योतिः स्वभिष्ट्यस्मे ॥
yo vardhana oṣadhīnāṃ yo apāṃ yo viśvasya jagato deva īśe | sa tridhātu śaraṇaṃ śarma yaṃsat trivartu jyotiḥ svabhiṣṭy asme ||
English translation:
“May he who is the augmenter of plural nts, the increase of the waters, who rules divine over the wholeearth, bestow upon us a three-storied dwelling and felicity; may he grant us the desired light (of the sun) at thethree (bright) seasons.”

Three-storied dwelling: tridhātu śaraṇam = tribhūmikam gṛham, a house with threeearths, either chambers or floors; trīṇi vā ādityasya tejāṃsi prātagrīṣme madhyandineśaradyaparāhne: Taittirīya Saṃhitā 2.1.2.5; the desired light: the rays of the sun are said to be mostpowerful at dawn in the spring, at noon in the hot season, and in the afternoon in autumn
