सम॑ध्व॒रायो॒षसो॑ नमन्त दधि॒क्रावे॑व॒ शुच॑ये प॒दाय॑ । अ॒र्वा॒ची॒नं व॑सु॒विदं॒ भगं॑ नो॒ रथ॑मि॒वाश्वा॑ वा॒जिन॒ आ व॑हन्तु ॥
समध्वरायोषसो नमन्त दधिक्रावेव शुचये पदाय । अर्वाचीनं वसुविदं भगं नो रथमिवाश्वा वाजिन आ वहन्तु ॥
sam adhvarāyoṣaso namanta dadhikrāveva śucaye padāya | arvācīnaṃ vasuvidam bhagaṃ no ratham ivāśvā vājina ā vahantu ||
English translation:
“May the dawn come to our sacrifice as a horse to a suitable station; as rapid steeds convey a chariot,so may the dawns bring to us Bhaga, down- descending, charged with riches.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Station: śucaye padāya =gamanayogyāya sthānāya; or, agnyādhanārtham śucai padam, a pure plural ce for the receptacle of the fire;
Dadhikra = aśve, the horse intended for sacrifice
