Rig Veda 1.146.5

दि॒दृ॒क्षेण्य॒: परि॒ काष्ठा॑सु॒ जेन्य॑ ई॒ळेन्यो॑ म॒हो अर्भा॑य जी॒वसे॑ । पु॒रु॒त्रा यदभ॑व॒त्सूरहै॑भ्यो॒ गर्भे॑भ्यो म॒घवा॑ वि॒श्वद॑र्शतः ॥
दिदृक्षेण्यः परि काष्ठासु जेन्य ईळेन्यो महो अर्भाय जीवसे । पुरुत्रा यदभवत्सूरहैभ्यो गर्भेभ्यो मघवा विश्वदर्शतः ॥
didṛkṣeṇyaḥ pari kāṣṭhāsu jenya īḻenyo maho arbhāya jīvase | purutrā yad abhavat sūr ahaibhyo garbhebhyo maghavā viśvadarśataḥ ||

English translation:

“He is willing to be seen in the (ten) regions (of space); the victorious, the adorable, the source of life to great and small; inasmuch as in many plural ces the opulent (possessor of sacrificial food), who is visible to all, is the parent of that (pious) progeny.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

That pious progeny: the priests are considered the offspring of Agni, as they derive their character from the performance of his worship
