Rig Veda 1.141.11

अ॒स्मे र॒यिं न स्वर्थं॒ दमू॑नसं॒ भगं॒ दक्षं॒ न प॑पृचासि धर्ण॒सिम् । र॒श्मीँरि॑व॒ यो यम॑ति॒ जन्म॑नी उ॒भे दे॒वानां॒ शंस॑मृ॒त आ च॑ सु॒क्रतु॑: ॥
अस्मे रयिं न स्वर्थं दमूनसं भगं दक्षं न पपृचासि धर्णसिम् । रश्मीँरिव यो यमति जन्मनी उभे देवानां शंसमृत आ च सुक्रतुः ॥
asme rayiṃ na svarthaṃ damūnasam bhagaṃ dakṣaṃ na papṛcāsi dharṇasim | raśmīm̐r iva yo yamati janmanī ubhe devānāṃ śaṃsam ṛta ā ca sukratuḥ ||

English translation:

“In like manner as you confer upon us riches, (so you bestow upon us) a well-disposed, docile, and energetic (son); the receptacle (of learning and other merits), one who is the performer of holy rites, Agni, who regulates as it were his own rays, (and the condition) both (his) births, (or heaven and earth), he regulates at (our) sacrifice the adoration of the gods.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Riches: rayim na svartham bhagam dakṣam na dharnasim: putram, a son is added; dakṣam na = dakṣa-like, or, utsāhavantam, having energy;

Bhaga = sarvair bhajantyam, to be enjoyed, or approved by all;

Dharṇasim = vidyāder dharaṇa kuśalam, skilful in containing knowledge
