Rig Veda 1.105.16

अ॒सौ यः पन्था॑ आदि॒त्यो दि॒वि प्र॒वाच्यं॑ कृ॒तः । न स दे॑वा अति॒क्रमे॒ तं म॑र्तासो॒ न प॑श्यथ वि॒त्तं मे॑ अ॒स्य रो॑दसी ॥
असौ यः पन्था आदित्यो दिवि प्रवाच्यं कृतः । न स देवा अतिक्रमे तं मर्तासो न पश्यथ वित्तं मे अस्य रोदसी ॥
asau yaḥ panthā ādityo divi pravācyaṃ kṛtaḥ | na sa devā atikrame tam martāso na paśyatha vittam me asya rodasī ||

English translation:

“The sun, who is avowedly made the path in heaven, is not to be disregarded, Gods, by you; but you, mortals, regard him not. Heaven and earth be conscious of this (my affliction).”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Asau yaḥ panthā ādityo divi pravācyam kṛtaḥ: panthā is an epithet of Āditya, the sun, as satatagamī, the ever-going; interpreted as a path, the sun is the road to heaven: sūryadvāreṇa virajāḥ prayānti, those who are free from soul go by the gate of the sun
