This is verse 17.17 of the Jnaneshwari (Bhavartha-Dipika), the English translation of 13th-century Marathi commentary on the Bhagavad-Gita.—The Dnyaneshwari (Jnaneshwari) brings to light the deeper meaning of the Gita which represents the essence of the Vedic Religion. This is verse 17 of the chapter called Shraddha-traya-vibhaga-yoga.

Verse 17.17:This three-fold austerity, when practised by men with high faith, with minds attuned, and without longing for the (resulting) fruit: that is pronounced to be Sattva-dominated. (240)

Commentary called Jnaneshwari by Jnaneshwar:

The three kinds of austerities explained to you should be practised with complete faith, dropping all longing for the fruit. And when it is practised in a righteous and pure way and with full faith in theism, wise men call it a Sattva-dominated austerity.
