The Garga-samhita Verse 6.19.18, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. तस्माद् अश्टादश-पदे
पूर्वस्यां दिशि मैथिल
सर्व-तीर्थोत्तमं पुण्यं
बलभद्र-सरो महत्

tasmād aśṭādaśa-pade
pūrvasyāṃ diśi maithila
sarva-tīrthottamaṃ puṇyaṃ
balabhadra-saro mahat

tasmāt—from that; aśṭādaśa-pade—18 steps; pūrvasyām diśi—to the east; maithilaO king of Mithilā; sarva-tīrthottamam—the best of all holy places; puṇyam—sacred; balabhadra-saraḥ—Balabhadra-saraḥ; mahatgreat.

English translation of verse 6.19.18:

O king of Mithilā, eighteens steps to the east is the great lake Balabhadra-saraḥ, the best of all holy places.
