The Garga-samhita Verse 6.18.13, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 18 (In the Course of Describing the Glories of Siddhashrama, a Description of the Rasa-dance Festival) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

माधवे पूर्णिमायां तु
पुण्ये सिद्धाश्रमे शुभे
प्रदोष-काले चन्द्राभे
रासारम्भो बभूव ह

mādhave pūrṇimāyāṃ tu
puṇye siddhāśrame śubhe
pradoṣa-kāle candrābhe
rāsārambho babhūva ha

mādhave—in the mont of Mādhava; pūrṇimāyām—on the full moon; tu—indeed; puṇye—in sacred; siddhāśrame—Siddhāśrama; śubhe—beautiful; pradoṣa-kālein the evening; candrābhe—splendid with moonlight; rāsārambhaḥ—the rasa dnace; babhūva—was; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 6.18.13:

In this way, in the splendid full-moon night of the month of Mādhava (April-

May) there was a rāsa dance in beautiful and sacred Siddhāśrama.
