The Garga-samhita Verse 6.2.42, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 2 (Residence in Shri Dvaraka) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

एवम् उक्त्वा द्विजान् राजा
जरासन्धो महा-बलः
आजगामाशु मथुरां
त्रयो-विंशत्य्-अनीक-पः

evam uktvā dvijān rājā
jarāsandho mahā-balaḥ
ājagāmāśu mathurāṃ
trayo-viṃśaty-anīka-paḥ

evam—thus; uktvā—speaking; dvijān—to the brāhmaṇas; rājāKing; jarāsandhaḥJarasandha; mahā-balaḥvery powerful; ājagāma—went; āśu—at once; mathurām—to Mathurā; trayo-viṃśaty-anīka-paḥ—at the head of 23 armies.

English translation of verse 6.2.42:

After speaking these words, powerful King Jarāsandha, taking with him 23 army divisions, quickly went to Mathurā City.
