तन्-मुखात् कंस-मरणं
श्रुत्वा क्रुद्धो जर-सूतः
अयादवीं महीं कर्तुं
उद्यतो ऽभून् महा-बलः

tan-mukhāt kaṃsa-maraṇaṃ
śrutvā kruddho jara-sūtaḥ
ayādavīṃ mahīṃ kartuṃ
udyato 'bhūn mahā-balaḥ

tan-mukhāt—from their mouths; kaṃsa-maraṇam—the death of Kaṃsa; śrutvāhearing; kruddhaḥangry; jara-sūtaḥJarasandha; ayādavīm—without Yādavas; mahīm—the earth; kartum—to make; udyataḥ—determined; abhūt—became; mahā-balaḥpowerful.

English translation of verse 6.1.5:

When from their mouths he heard of Kaṃsa's death, Jarāsandha becxame angry and decided to make the earth a place where no Yādavas lived.
