विद्युल्-लता-स्फुरत्-प्रोद्यद्-
धेम-कुण्डल-मण्डितः
वेत्र-भृद् वादयन् वंशीं
नट-वेषो घन-द्युतिः
vidyul-latā-sphurat-prodyad-
dhema-kuṇḍala-maṇḍitaḥ
vetra-bhṛd vādayan vaṃśīṃ
naṭa-veṣo ghana-dyutiḥ
vidyut—lighting; latā—vine; sphurat-prodyat—splendid; hema-kuṇḍala-maṇḍitaḥ—decorated with gold earrings; vetra-bhṛt—holding a stick; vādayan—playing; vaṃśīm—flute; naṭa-veṣaḥ—dressed as a dancer; ghana-dyutiḥ—splendid as a cloud.
English translation of verse 5.20.32:
Dark as a monsoon cloud, decorated with golden earrings splendid as vines of lightning, dressed as a dancer, and holding a stick, Lord Kṛṣṇa played His flute.
