आहूय यादवान् कंस-
भयाद् देशान्तरं गतान्
प्रेम्णा निवासयाम् आस
स-कुटुम्बान् यदोः पुरी
āhūya yādavān kaṃsa-
bhayād deśāntaraṃ gatān
premṇā nivāsayām āsa
sa-kuṭumbān yadoḥ purī
āhūya—calling; yādavān—the Yadavas; kaṃsa—of Kaṃsa; bhayāt—out of fear; deśāntaram—to other countries; gatān—gone; premṇā—with love; nivāsayām āsa—gave homes; sa-kuṭumbān—with their families; yadoḥ—of the Yadavas; purī—in the city.
English translation of verse 5.9.6:
Calling together the Yādavas that had fled to other countries out of fear of Kaṃsa, Lord Kṛṣṇa affectionaltely gave homes in Mathurā to them and their families.
