The Garga-samhita Verse 5.1.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. स्व-मित्रे नन्द-राजे च
न्यस्तौ पुत्रौ भवद्-भयात्
तवारी राम-कृष्णौ द्वौ
वसुदेवेन दैत्य-राट्

sva-mitre nanda-rāje ca
nyastau putrau bhavad-bhayāt
tavārī rāma-kṛṣṇau dvau
vasudevena daitya-rāṭ

sva-mitre—with his friend; nanda-rāje—King Nanda; ca—and; nyastau—placing; putrau—the two sons; bhavatof you; bhayāt—from fear; tava—of you; arī—the two enemies; rāmaBalarāma; kṛṣṇau—and Kṛṣṇa; dvau—both; vasudevena—by King Vasudeva; daitya-rāṭ—O king of the demons.

English translation of verse 5.1.6:

O king of the demons, afraid of what you might do to them, Vasudeva placed his sons, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, who are your enemies, under the care of his friend Nanda Mahārāja.
