The Garga-samhita Verse 4.19.99, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 19 (A Thousand Names of Sri Yamuna) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

तमः-प्रक्र्तिर् दुर्मर्सि रजः-प्रक्र्तिर् आनतिः

tamaḥ-prakrtir durmarsi rajaḥ-prakrtir ānatiḥ

क्रियाक्रिया क्र्तिर् ग्लानिः

kriyākriyā krtir glāniḥ

सात्त्विक्य् आढ्यात्मिकि व्र्सा

sāttviky āḍhyātmiki vrsā
