The Garga-samhita Verse 4.11.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 11 (The Story of the Gopis That were Residents of Rama-vaikuntha, Shvetadvipa, Urdhva-vaikuntha, Ajita-pada, and Shri Lokacala) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-नारद उवाच
अन्यासां चैव गोपीनां
वर्णनं शृणु मैथिल
सर्व-पाप-हरं पुण्यं
हरि-भक्ति-विवर्धनम्

śrī-nārada uvāca
anyāsāṃ caiva gopīnāṃ
varṇanaṃ śṛṇu maithila
sarva-pāpa-haraṃ puṇyaṃ
hari-bhakti-vivardhanam

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; anyāsām—of the other; ca—and; eva—indeed; gopīnām—gopīs; varṇanam—description; śṛṇu—please hear; maithilaO king of Mithilā; sarva-pāpaall sins; haram—removing; puṇyam—sacred; hari-bhakti-vivardhanam—increasing devotion for Lord Kṛṣṇa.

English translation of verse 4.11.1:

Śrī Nārada said: O king of Mithilā, please hear the story of the other gopīs, a sacred story that removes all sins, and increases one's love for Lord Kṛṣṇa.
