The Garga-samhita Verse 4.8.28, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. परापवादं पैशून्यं
स्तेयं हिंसां तथा रतिम्
क्रोधाढ्यं ह्य् अनृतं वाक्यं
एकादश्यां विवर्जयेत्

parāpavādaṃ paiśūnyaṃ
steyaṃ hiṃsāṃ tathā ratim
krodhāḍhyaṃ hy anṛtaṃ vākyaṃ
ekādaśyāṃ vivarjayet

para—others; apavādam—rebuking; paiśūnyam—slander; steyam—theft; hiṃsām—violence; tathā—so; ratim—sex; krodhāḍhyam—anger; hi—indeed; anṛtam—lies; vākyam—words; ekādaśyām—on ekādaśī; vivarjayet—one should avoid.

English translation of verse 4.8.28:

On ekādaśī one should avoid harsh speech, slander, theft, violence, sex, anger, and speaking lies.
