या सिन्धु-देशेषु पुरी प्रसिद्धा
श्री-चम्पका नाम शुभ यथैन्द्री
तत्-पालको ऽसौ विमलो यथेन्द्रस्
त्वत्-पाद-पद्मे कृत-चित्त-वृत्तिः
yā sindhu-deśeṣu purī prasiddhā
śrī-campakā nāma śubha yathaindrī
tat-pālako 'sau vimalo yathendras
tvat-pāda-padme kṛta-citta-vṛttiḥ
yā—what; sindhu-deśeṣu—in Sindhu-desa; purī—a city; prasiddhā—famous; śrī-campakā—Srī Campakā; nāma—named; śubha—beautiful; yatha—as; aindrī—the city of Indra; tat-pālakaḥ—it's king; asau—he; vimalaḥ—Vimala; yathā—as; indraḥ—Indra; tvat-pāda-padme—at Your lotus feet; kṛta-citta-vṛttiḥ—places all his thoughts.
English translation of verse 4.7.9:
In Sindhu-deśa is a city named Srī Campakā, which is glorious as Indra's city, Amarāvatī. Vimala, who is glorious as Indra, is the king of that city. his thoughts are always placed at Your lotus feet.
