तद्-वामांशात् समुद्भूतं
गौरं तेजः स्फुरत्-प्रभम्
लीला श्रीर् भूश् च विरजा
तस्माज् जाता हरेः प्रियाः
tad-vāmāṃśāt samudbhūtaṃ
gauraṃ tejaḥ sphurat-prabham
līlā śrīr bhūś ca virajā
tasmāj jātā hareḥ priyāḥ
tad-vāmāṃśāt—from the left shoulder; samudbhūtam—manifested; gauram—fair; tejaḥ—splendor; sphurat-prabham—glistening; līlā—Līlā; śrīḥ—Śrī; bhūś—Bhū; ca—and; virajā—Virajā; tasmāj—from that; jātā—born; hareḥ—of Lord Kṛṣṇa; priyāḥ—the beloveds.
English translation of verse 3.9.22:
From the Lord's left shoulder was manifested a golden splendor that was His beloveds: Līlā, Śrī, Bhū, and Virajā.
