The Garga-samhita Verse 3.9.22, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 9 (The Birth of Shri Giriraja) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तद्-वामांशात् समुद्भूतं
गौरं तेजः स्फुरत्-प्रभम्
लीला श्रीर् भूश् च विरजा
तस्माज् जाता हरेः प्रियाः

tad-vāmāṃśāt samudbhūtaṃ
gauraṃ tejaḥ sphurat-prabham
līlā śrīr bhūś ca virajā
tasmāj jātā hareḥ priyāḥ

tad-vāmāṃśāt—from the left shoulder; samudbhūtam—manifested; gauram—fair; tejaḥsplendor; sphurat-prabham—glistening; līlāLīlā; śrīḥ—Śrī; bhūś—Bhū; ca—and; virajāVirajā; tasmāj—from that; jātāborn; hareḥ—of Lord Kṛṣṇa; priyāḥ—the beloveds.

English translation of verse 3.9.22:

From the Lord's left shoulder was manifested a golden splendor that was His beloveds: Līlā, Śrī, Bhū, and Virajā.
