The Garga-samhita Verse 2.3.20, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 3 (Description of the Yamuna’s Arrival) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

पुनः श्री-गङ्गया सार्धं
क्षीराब्धिं स जगाम ह
देवाः सुवर्षं पुष्पानां
चक्रुर् दिवि जय-ध्वनिम्

punaḥ śrī-gaṅgayā sārdhaṃ
kṣīrābdhiṃ sa jagāma ha
devāḥ suvarṣaṃ puṣpānāṃ
cakrur divi jaya-dhvanim

punaḥ—again; śrī-gaṅgayā—Śrī Gaṅgā; sārdham—with; kṣīrābdhim—to the milk-ocean; sa—she; jagāma—went; ha—indeed; devaḥ—the demigods; suvarṣam—a shower; puṣpānām—of flowers; cakruḥ—did; diviin heaven; jaya-dhvanim—sounds of "victory!".

English translation of verse 2.3.20:

When, flowing with Śrī Gaṅgā, she entered the Kṣīra ocean, the demigods in heaven showered flowers and exclaimed victory!"
