श्री-नारद उवाच
नन्दस् तेभ्यो गवां लक्षं
सुवर्णं दश-लक्षकम्
सहस्रं नव-रत्नानां
वस्त्र-लक्षं ददौ परम्

śrī-nārada uvāca
nandas tebhyo gavāṃ lakṣaṃ
suvarṇaṃ daśa-lakṣakam
sahasraṃ nava-ratnānāṃ
vastra-lakṣaṃ dadau param

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; nandaḥNanda; tebhyaḥ—to them; gavām—of cows; lakṣam—a hundred thousand; suvarṇam—gold; daśa-lakṣakam—a million; sahasram—a thousand; navanew; ratnānām—jewels; vastra—of garments; lakṣam—a hundred thousand; dadau—gave; param—then.

English translation of verse 1.14.58:

Śrī Nārada said: To them Nanda gave a hundred thousand cows, a million gold coins, a thousand new jewels, and a hundred thousand opulent garments.
