The Garga-samhita Verses 1.14.52-53, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 14 (The Liberation of Shakatasura and Trinavarta) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्य् उक्त्वा द्विज-मुख्यास् ते
कुशाग्रैर् नव-पल्लवैः
पवित्र-कुशलैस् तोयैर्
ऋग्-यजुः-साम-जैः स्तवैः
परैः स्वस्त्य्-अयनैर् यज्ञं
कारयित्वा विधानतः
अग्निं सम्पूज्य विधि-वद्
रक्षां विदधिरे शिशोः

śrī-nārada uvāca
ity uktvā dvija-mukhyās te
kuśāgrair nava-pallavaiḥ
pavitra-kuśalais toyair
ṛg-yajuḥ-sāma-jaiḥ stavaiḥ
paraiḥ svasty-ayanair yajñaṃ
kārayitvā vidhānataḥ
agniṃ sampūjya vidhi-vad
rakṣāṃ vidadhire śiśoḥ

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; iti—thus; uktvā—saying; dvija-mukhyāḥthe great brāhmaṇas; te—they; kuśa-agraiḥ—with tips of kuśa grass; nava-pallavaiḥ—and new twigs; pavitrapure; kuśalaiḥ—auspicious; toyaiḥ—with water; ṛg-yajuḥ-sāma-jaiḥ—from the Ṛg, Sāma, and Yajur Vedas; stavaiḥ—with prayers; paraiḥtranscendental; svasty-ayanaiḥ—with blessings; yajñam—sacrifice; kārayitvā—performing; vidhānataḥ—according to proper procedure; agnim—fire; sampūjyaworshiping; vidhi-vatproperly; rakṣām—protection; vidadhire—did; śiśoḥ—of the child.

English translation of verses 1.14.52-53:

After saying this, the great brāhmaṇas, with new twigs, kuśa grass, pure sacred water, prayers from the Ṛg, Sāma, and Yajur Vedas, and many auspicious blessings, properly performed a yajña and properly worshiped the sacred fire. In this way they established the protection of child Kṛṣṇa.
