The Garga-samhita Verse 1.14.24, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 14 (The Liberation of Shakatasura and Trinavarta) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
तस्माद् उत्कच-दैत्यस् तु
मुक्तो लोमश-तेजसा
सद्भ्यो नमो ऽस्तु ये नूनं
समर्था वर-शापयोः

śrī-nārada uvāca
tasmād utkaca-daityas tu
mukto lomaśa-tejasā
sadbhyo namo 'stu ye nūnaṃ
samarthā vara-śāpayoḥ

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; tasmāt—from that; utkaca-daityaḥthe demon Utkaca; tu—indeed; muktaḥ—liberated; lomaśa-tejasā—by the power of Lomaśa; sadbhyaḥ—to the saintly devotees; namaḥ—obeisances; astushould be; ye—who; nūnamindeed; samarthāḥ—are able; varato bless; śāpayoḥ—or curse.

English translation of verse 1.14.24:

Śrī Nārada said: In this way the power of Lomaśa Muni gave liberation to the demon Utkaca. I offer my respectful obeisances to the saintly devotees of the Lord, who have the power both to bless and to curse.
