मधूनां शूरसेनानां
देशानां सर्व-सम्पदाम्
सिंहासने चोपविश्य
स्वयं राज्यं चकार ह

madhūnāṃ śūrasenānāṃ
deśānāṃ sarva-sampadām
siṃhāsane copaviśya
svayaṃ rājyaṃ cakāra ha

madhūnām—of the Madhus; śūrasenānām—of the Śūrasenas; deśānām—of the countries; sarvaall; sampadām—opulences; siṃhāsane—on the throne; ca—also; upaviśyasitting; svayam—personally; rājyam—the kingdom; cakāra ha—did.

English translation of verse 1.10.23:

Sitting on the throne, Kaṃsa then personally ruled the opulent kingdoms of the Madhus and Śūrasenas.
