The Garga-samhita Verse 1.6.48, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 6 (Description of Kamsa’s Strength) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

शृङ्गाभ्यां पर्वतं नीत्वा
चीक्षेप कंस-मूर्धनि
कंसो गिरिं सङ्गृहीत्वा
प्राक्षिपत् तस्य मस्तके

śṛṅgābhyāṃ parvataṃ nītvā
cīkṣepa kaṃsa-mūrdhani
kaṃso giriṃ saṅgṛhītvā
prākṣipat tasya mastake

śṛṅgābhyām—with horns; parvatam—a mountain; nītvā—uprooting; cīkṣepa—threw; kaṃsa-mūrdhani—at Kaṃsa's head; kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; girim—a mountain; saṅgṛhītvā—grasping; prākṣipat—threw; tasya—of it; mastake—at the head.

English translation of verse 1.6.48:

With its horns it uprooted a mountain and threw it at Kaṃsa's head. Then Kaṃsa took a mountain and threw it at Ariṣṭa's head.
