The Garga-samhita Verse 1.6.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. भुजम् आस्फोट्य धावन्तं
शलं नीत्वा भुजेन सः
पातयित्वा पुनर् नित्वा
भूमौ तं विचकर्ष ह

bhujam āsphoṭya dhāvantaṃ
śalaṃ nītvā bhujena saḥ
pātayitvā punar nitvā
bhūmau taṃ vicakarṣa ha

bhujam—arm; āsphoṭya—waving; dhāvantam—running; śalam—Śāla; nītvā—bringing; bhujena—by the arm; saḥ—he; pātayitvā—threw; punaḥ—again; nitvā—bringing; bhūmau—on the ground; tam—him; vicakarṣa—dragged; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 1.6.23:

When Śala, waving his arms, rushed at him, Kaṃsa grabbed an arm, pulled him down, and dragged him about.
