The Garga-samhita Verse 1.1.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 1 (Description of Shri-Krishna’s Glories) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

यथा नटः स्व-लीलायां
मोहितो न परस् तथा
अन्ये दृष्ट्वा च तन्-मायां
मुमुहुस् ते मुहुर् मुहुः

yathā naṭaḥ sva-līlāyāṃ
mohito na paras tathā
anye dṛṣṭvā ca tan-māyāṃ
mumuhus te muhur muhuḥ

yathā—as; naṭaḥan actor; sva-līlāyām—by His won pastimes; mohitaḥbewildered; na—not; paraḥanother; tathā—so; anye—others; dṛṣṭvāseeing; ca—also; tat—His; māyām—illusory potency; mumuhuḥ—become bewildered; te—they; muhuḥmuhuḥ—again and again.

English translation of verse 1.1.14:

As a magician is not bewildered by His own magic tricks, although others may be bewildered, so the Supreme Personality of Godhead is not bewildered by the magic tricks He does with His illusory potency, although others who see them are bewildered again and again.
