The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.3.56, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 56 of Antya-khanda chapter 3—“Mahaprabhu’s Deliverance of Sarvabhauma, Exhibition of His Six-armed Form, and Journey to Bengal”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.3.56:

না বুঝিযা শঙ্করাচার্যের অভিপ্রায ভক্তি ছাডি’ মাথা মুডাইযা দুঃখ পায ॥ ৫৬ ॥

ना बुझिया शङ्कराचार्येर अभिप्राय भक्ति छाडि’ माथा मुडाइया दुःख पाय ॥ ५६ ॥

nā bujhiyā śaṅkarācāryera abhiprāya bhakti chāḍi’ māthā muḍāiyā duḥkha pāya || 56 ||

na bujhiya sankaracaryera abhipraya bhakti chadi’ matha mudaiya duhkha paya (56)

English translation:

(56) “Those do not understand Śaṅkarācārya’s intention and give up devotional service suffer even after shaving their heads.
