The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.308, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 308 of Madhya-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Manifestation at the House of Shrivasa and the Inauguration of Sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.308:

যদি বা এ-মত নহে,—স্বতন্ত্র হৈযাধরিবারে বলে, তবে মুঞি চাঙ ইহা ॥ ৩০৮ ॥

यदि वा ए-मत नहे,—स्वतन्त्र हैयाधरिबारे बले, तबे मुञि चाङ इहा ॥ ३०८ ॥

yadi vā e-mata nahe,—svatantra haiyādharibāre bale, tabe muñi cāṅa ihā || 308 ||

yadi va e-mata nahe,—svatantra haiyadharibare bale, tabe muni cana iha (308)

English translation:

(308) “If this were not the case—if he independently ordered your arrest—then this is what I will do.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

“If that does not happen—in other words, if against My inspiration and independent will as the Supersoul, or without being directed by the Supersoul, if the King independently orders your arrest—then I will desire as follows.”
