The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.6.46, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 46 of Adi-khanda chapter 6—“The Lord Begins Studying and His Childhood Mischief”.

ধূলায ধূসর প্রভু শ্রী-গৌরসুন্দর লিখন-কালির বিন্দু শোভে মনোহর ॥ ৪৬ ॥

धूलाय धूसर प्रभु श्री-गौरसुन्दर लिखन-कालिर बिन्दु शोभे मनोहर ॥ ४६ ॥

dhūlāya dhūsara prabhu śrī-gaurasundara likhana-kālira bindu śobhe manohara || 46 ||

dhulaya dhusara prabhu sri-gaurasundara likhana-kalira bindu sobhe manohara (46)

English translation:

(46) When Lord Gaurasundara became gray with a covering of dust and decorated with drops of ink He appeared most enchanting.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word likhana means “for writing.”
