Source: archive.org: Isvara Samhita Vol 5Vyūhamantra (व्यूहमन्त्र) is the name of a mantra to be uttered during certain preparations of śuddhānna, according in verse 25.94-107a of the 8th-century Īśvarasaṃhitā. Accordingly, “the cooking vessels made of copper shall be washed with water mixed up with tamarind and then with water mixed with mud by the priest who knows the mantra uttering the twelve-syllabled mantra and vīryamantra. The interior of them (vessels) shall be smeared with ghee uttering the vyūhamantras”.
Pancaratra (पाञ्चरात्र, pāñcarātra) represents a tradition of Hinduism where Narayana is revered and worshipped. Closeley related to Vaishnavism, the Pancaratra literature includes various Agamas and tantras incorporating many Vaishnava philosophies.

Vyūha and vibhava mantras are further sub-divided. The vibhava mantras bestow bhukti or materialistic pleasures, while the vyūhamantras and vyūhāntaramantras are for mukti or liberation from the cycle of births and death. The para-mantra, known as Vāsudeva-mantra, bestows mukti.
Mantrashastra (शिल्पशास्त्र, mantraśāstra) refers to the ancient Indian science of mantras—chants, incantations, spells, magical hymns, etc. Mantra Sastra literature includes many ancient books dealing with the methods reciting mantras, identifying and purifying its defects and the science behind uttering or chanting syllables.
