Vismṛti (विस्मृति) refers to the “forgetting (of all sense objects)”, according to the Bodhasāra, section 12, Layayoga 35.—Accordingly, “Because it is a cause of the [Yogin’s] forgetting (vismṛti) of all [sense objects], fusing [the mind] in the [internal] resonance is the best of all the absorptions. For, it is the supreme absorption”.
