Source: archive.org: Puranic Encyclopedia1) Vīradhanvā (वीरधन्वा).—A warrior of the kingdom of Trigarta. He took the side of the Kauravas in the Bhāratabattle and fought with Dhṛṣṭadyumna, in which fight he was killed. (Mahābhārata Droṇa Parva, Chapter 107, Stanza 9).
2) Vīradhanvā (वीरधन्वा).—A Gandharva. (See under Puṇḍarīkamukha).
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. The eighteen mahapuranas total over 400,000 shlokas (metrical couplets) and date to at least several centuries BCE.
